This past December, a small group of our youth group members went Christmas caroling. We visited members of our church who are shut-ins. At one of our early December youth group meetings the kids made cards, colored and drew pictures, and made crafts to be delivered to those we would visit while caroling. It was a wonderful day spent with our church family, particularly those we had not seen in some time.
During one of our November meetings, we spent the evening baking chocolate chip cookies. In three different shifts we all took turns in the kitchen; helping to mix, measure out, and bake the cookies. We then later delivered the cookies to the local fire, police, and first aid stations to show our thanks for all that they do for the community.
Our Youth Group participated in the annual Christmas Caroling to our church members who are unable to get out. We visited seven different locations, some were homes and other were nursing homes. The kids and the church members truly felt the joy of the Christmas season with our songs.
On Sunday October 20th the Youth Group kids sold their Apple baked goods between the church services. They helped make and package Apple sauce, Apple Bread, and Apple Crisps. Doing that we raised over $550, and all of that money was put towards purchasing winter coats, hats, gloves and toys for boys and girls of all ages.
Afterwords, we went shopping at Target and took our purchases over to the Stafford Township Police Department.
